I wonder just how much truth there is to this statement. >.<
Am hopping that this is not true cuz... i hate to admit this but I don't know how to flirt!!! More like, i don't even know what is flirting! So how am i suppose to know whether i am doing it or not?? =.=" Von said that it is in us and we just need someone to bring it out. Now now now..where is that human who is gonna make me all flirty? lol

In any occasion, flirting differs for a lot of people, so if you're very prude, any form of interaction with a guy can be considered flirting.
My friend Jennifer was accused of flirting with her close-minded friend Mun Yee's crush, just because Jennifer was showing him a magic trick (Jen's a novice magician).
But it takes two to tango, flirting doesn't necessarily mean saying suggestive things, it just means showing an interest in the guy you like, just by listening to him, chatting to him.
But extensive flirting can be in the form of touching (hands, shoulders, when talking to them and body if dancing). For example, slapping his shoulder lightly at a joke he makes, or touching his hand when talking to him. Also, making out can be considered flirting I guess, since sometimes it doesn't necessarily lead to a relationship.
Speaking from my experience la. I've only actually extensively flirted with one guy (inclusive of all those things above), and we've only met like twice, and nothing's ever gonna happen, so it's actually a very small experience I can relate.
BUT if you want to know if a guy is flirting with you, call me and fill me in, I'll give you a prognosis.

I don't think i am that prude of a person yet cuz I have been doing some of the stuffs that you said are forms of extensive flirting to my rather close guy friends.... so if all those are called flirting..it is kinda weird isn't it? Cuz I am not interested in any of them although I have been slapping their arms lightly/hardly at their teases, jokes and stuffs like that. Or, was I actually flirting all the time?
Anyway, in my case...I think I just haven't found any guy worth flirting (in my dictionary it means doing all of the stuffs mentioned by you with someone whom i am interested in <--huge factor) with for now..so, when I found one, I would definitely tell you and see if he flirts back when I do XD

But back to the topic, you'll flirt when you like a guy enough. It'll appear subconsciously in your body language. But if you wanna learn to flirt just for the fun of it, try reading those cliche' chick lits.
